June Reading Recap

Another month has flown by! I’m noticing a trend in which the first half of the month I’ve only read a book or two and then in the last half, I read tons. I’m not sure what’s up with that, but June has me with fifteen books read, the most so far this year!

My favorite books this month were Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros, One Dark Window by Rachel Gellig and The Princess and the Grilled Cheese Sandwich by Deya Muniz. Her Good Side by Rebekah Weatherspoon and The Darkness Outside Us by Eliot Schrefer were honorable mentions.

July is starting off with an ARC of The Meadows by Stephanie Oakes and the audiobook of The Adventures of Amina Al-Sirafi by Shannon Chakraborty. The Meadows is proving hard to read simply because it feels a lot like where the world is heading right now and Amina has kept me laughing while working. I’m also determined to read at least one of the books I’ve gotten in a book box subscription that I haven’t read… because there are a lot of them.
